About

If you look at the world right now and feel like people are talking past each other more than ever, you’re not alone. Many of us want to help bring people together, but aren’t sure how. Stories are a powerful place to start. In a moment when fear-driven narratives seek to dehumanize and disconnect, stories that foster connection are increasingly important. If you want to be part of building something better, this course is the place to begin. Stories can help us see the humanity in people whose experiences, beliefs, or backgrounds are different from our own. They can open conversations that facts and arguments alone just can’t. When shared thoughtfully, stories deepen understanding and create new possibilities for collaboration. This course will provide practical storytelling skills to connect across differences and encourage constructive dialogue. Through interactive workshops, discussion, and reflection, you will: - Learn how stories can help people find common ground; - Explore real examples of storytelling that has brought people together, even in unlikely circumstances; - Practice crafting and sharing your own bridge-building story; and - Gain tools for creating stories that encourage listening, dignity, and mutual respect. If you want to be part of building a more connected, respectful, and cooperative world, this course is for you. You’ll gain practical storytelling skills you can use in your work, your community, and your everyday conversations. The course includes: - Four (4) 75-minute sessions + 15-minute “after party” (optional time to continue discussion or ask additional questions) - One (1) 30-minute 1:1 coaching session - Between session assignments requiring up to one (1) hour of time each week on your own schedule The course is taught live, so please confirm you’ll be able to join all 4 sessions. WEDNESDAYS: May 27, June 3, 10 and 17 Noon ET / 9 am PT / 5 pm CET All sessions will be held in English.
