How can the stories you tell about America shape the future we build together? And how do they fit into a narrative - or even meta-narrative?
In this webinar, Selvi Adaikkalam Zabihi, PJ Andrews, and Mat Cotton from the U.S. Bahá'í Office of Public Affairs explore what narratives can help Americans build greater trust, strengthen civic life, and work toward a more just and prosperous society.
Drawing on insights from three years of the Narratives of America project, this conversation reflects on discussions with hundreds of people from diverse communities across the United States.
Together, they examine questions such as:
What stories help us see one another as partners in building a better society
How can we acknowledge history while creating hope for the future?
What narratives can help repair divisions, overcome collective trauma, and foster shared purpose?
How might the many strands of the American story be woven into a larger, more inclusive narrative?
This webinar is ideal of anyone working in civic engagement, community building, nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, communications, education, faith communities, or social impact, or simply interested in the future of American public life. This discussion offers thoughtful perspectives on storytelling, identity, and social change.
